You're not imagining it, and you're not doing nothing

You're walking. You've cut things out. You're getting to bed at a reasonable hour. Maybe you take supplements, maybe you've never taken one in your life.

And it's still not moving.

Here's what people write to me, most weeks:

"I can't remember when the last I have more than 5 hours of sleep, 20 year or more???"

"My weight is just stuck no matter what I do."

"Since turning 60, I've developed belly and thigh fat."

"No sleep and auto immune disease. Weight gain in the belly. 66 yrs and want to feel healthy."

"I feel stuck for sure."

Frustrating is the word that comes up more than any other. Not hopeless, and not lazy.

Frustrating, because the effort is real and the result isn't.

After 33 years as a nurse, and after turning 60 myself, here's what I've come to believe.

Almost nobody over 60 is stuck because they aren't trying hard enough. They're stuck because nobody ever told them which thing to work on, what order to do it in, and what number they were aiming for.

Seven things change after 60, and they all affect each other

  • Your hormones changed. Your body now stores fat around your middle instead of on your hips and thighs.
  • You're losing muscle faster than you did in your fifties. It happens quietly, and it speeds up after an illness or a long stretch of sitting.
  • Your stomach makes less acid than it used to. That means the food you eat may not be getting absorbed properly.
  • Your cortisol has flattened out. Cortisol is the hormone that's supposed to rise in the morning and fall at night. When it stays flat instead, you wake up tired and then lie awake at three in the morning.
  • You absorb fewer vitamins and minerals than you used to. Some common medications use up more of them on top of that.
  • Your digestion slowed down. Most people have no idea by how much, because nobody ever measures it.
  • You've got a low level of inflammation running all the time now. That's why things ache, especially in the morning.

This is the part that costs people years. These aren't seven separate problems.

They cause each other.

If your stomach acid is low, the protein you eat can't do its job. So working on your muscle won't get you far until you deal with the acid first.

If your cortisol stays flat all day, more hours in bed won't make you feel rested.

Work on one of these on its own, in the wrong order, and you can spend six months on something that was never going to move.

That's what this workbook is for. It doesn't give you more things to do. It tells you what order to do them in.

What's in the 46 page Guide:

The seven-part self-check. Twenty minutes. You score yourself on all seven and compare them against each other, so you can see which one is giving you the most trouble — and which two you can stop worrying about for now.

The order to work them in. Once you have your scores, you'll see which one to start with, which one will start improving on its own once you fix the first one, and which two to leave alone for the moment.

The full lab panel, with the numbers to aim for. Not just which tests to ask for. What the results should actually look like in a body over 60. That includes four tests that can come back "normal" while you're genuinely going deficient, and the exact words to use so your provider will order them.

Twelve recipes, with the protein written on every one. After 60, your muscle needs about thirty grams of protein in one sitting before it starts rebuilding. Most breakfasts have about a third of that. The cheapest recipe in here takes ninety seconds to make.

Four printable trackers. Your waist measurement. How long food takes to move through you. How many minutes of morning stiffness you have. And an energy score you take four times a day.

A fourteen-day baseline. You take four measurements on day one, change one thing, then take the same four measurements on day fourteen. You've been dealing with this for years. I'm asking you for two weeks.

About me

About Me

I'm Julie. I'm a Registered Nurse with 33 years of experience and I'm also 60 years old.

I lost 95 pounds in my late fifties. It took far longer than it should have, because I was told my labs looked normal and then left to work it out on my own. I did all the things people do. I walked. I cut back. I had a cupboard full of supplements I was taking at the wrong time of day.

What finally worked wasn't more discipline. It was finding out what had actually changed in my body, and what order to deal with it in.

I'm not selling you a transformation. I wrote down what worked for me so yoou don't lose the years that I did.

Read it for 30 days. If it doesn't tell you something you didn't already know, email me and I'll refund you. You keep the workbook.

No hoops to jump through, and no proving you tried. You've had enough of that.

Three questions I get asked

How is this different from the free guides on your channel?

Each free guide answers one question about one area. This is the whole map. It shows how all seven connect, what order to work on them in, and what your lab numbers should be, and it gives you a fourteen-day baseline so you can prove a number actually moved. The guides tell you where you are. This one tells you what to do next.

I've bought things like this before and nothing came of it.

I know. It's the most common thing people tell me. Most plans tell you what to do. Very few tell you when to do it, what order to do it in, and what number you're aiming for. That's exactly where things fall apart. If this doesn't give you those three things, take the refund.

I'm on several medications. Is that a problem?

Nothing in here asks you to start, stop or change a medication, ever. There's one page that matches common medications to the nutrients they use up, so you can take that page to your pharmacist. That's where that conversation belongs.
